Procurement and Supply Chain Management Professional Examinations




Finally KASNEB partnered with Kenya institute of supplies and Management  (KISM) to offer supplies and chain Management course, The awaited curriculum has been rolled out and will first be examined on November/December 2015 examination sitting.
As Expected KASNEB divides its programmes into two: Professionals and Technicians, well this one has not been left out and it have been been divided into two.:-
i)               CERTIFIED PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLY PROFESSIONAL OF KENYA (CPSP-K)   
ii)              ASSOCIATE IN PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLY OF KENYA (APS-K) EXAMINATIONS
The CPSP-K and APS-K national examinations are established as the National Examinations for certification of procurement and supply chain management professionals in Kenya, under sections 5 and 13 of the Supplies Practitioners Management Act, 2007. The examinations are administered nationally in the periods May/June and November/December, through a partnership between KASNEB and KISM. Pioneer classes commence in July 2015, with the first examinations administered in November/December 2015.
OVERALL OBJECTIVES OF THE EXAMINATIONS
The CPSP-K examination syllabus is designed to equip learners with knowledge, practical skills and attitudes that will enable them perform supervisory, management and leadership roles as buyers, Supply Chain managers, supervisors, directors, or consultants for organizations. The APS-K examination syllabus equips learners with knowledge, skills and aptitudes to support procurement and supply chain management functions in large organizations and to provide leadership for similar functions in small organizations.
